THE GREAT DEBATE: Why Aren't There More Women In Positions Of Power?

 WHY AREN'T THERE MORE WOMEN IN POWER?

Does it really matter that only 2.4 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women? Or that women make 81 percent of what men earn?

Those are two of the most compelling questions that are not explicitly answered in workplaces across America.

If we are striving for equality, what exactly do we want? More stay-at-home dads so that women can run half of America's businesses and hold more congressional seats?

With a troubled Wall Street and broken Washington, D.C., we need to take a hard look at our leaders.

And if women are part of the solution, they should step up.

Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg once put it succinctly: “Women need to lean forward into their careers.”
